Abstract

This article comprehensively examines the economic essence, theoretical foundations, and modern development trends of wage payment systems in the construction industry. The construction sector is one of the key components of the national economy, and its effective functioning largely depends on the efficient utilization of labor resources and the implementation of effective employee incentive mechanisms. The study analyzes traditional wage payment systems widely used in construction, including time-based, piece-rate, and bonus-based wage systems, as well as their advantages and existing limitations. Special attention is given to modern approaches such as KPI (Key Performance Indicator)-based wage systems, performance-based pay, bonus and incentive systems, and project-based wage systems. The importance of these modern wage systems in increasing labor productivity, enhancing employee motivation, improving work quality, and ensuring timely completion of construction projects is scientifically substantiated. The research findings indicate that the implementation of modern wage systems significantly contributes to improving the economic efficiency of construction enterprises, ensuring effective human resource management, and strengthening their competitiveness in the market. Based on the results of the study, scientifically grounded conclusions and practical recommendations for improving wage payment systems in the construction industry have been developed.
